Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church

Welcome

Welcome to Trinity Evangelical Covenant Church where people from numerous denominational backgrounds, including the Roman Catholic Church, have found a spiritual home.  Trinity has served Oak Lawn, Chicago's Southwest Side and the surrounding suburbs for the past 50 years.  Over the years our Vacation Bible School program has touched the lives of thousands of neighborhood children.  Recently, we have reached out into the community through Noah's Ark Preschool, the occasional Concert on the Lawn, and a dynamic Seniors' Ministry. This new class from Pastor Mark will look deeper into a centering prayer life, a contemplative life, if you will.  This class will once again start with a light meal at 6 P.M. on Wednesday evenings followed by the class from 6:30 P.M. to 8 P.M.  “The Lenten Journey” will begin on February 21 and run through March 28. I feel that this time of year perfectly pairs Lent with a contemplative and meditative prayer life.  As we look at the three-pronged life:

     1) Outward extension of the Gospel, 2) Going outward, Together as a body, and 3) The Inward Journey, this 6-week class focuses on the inward reflection. Do not be afraid of this journey! Do not think that you cannot be silent and reflective.

To RSVP for the supper and/or the class, please call the church office at 708-422-5111.

On June 20, 2017, Trinity observed a Day of Prayer. The purpose of the Day of Prayer was to invite the Holy Spirit into our vitality process and guide us on our path of revitalization.  You can find a wonderful sermon on the power and importance of prayer by clicking the Grow tab, 2017 Sermons, June 11.
